Q. Is it possible to mount MGMS on a 6x6 vehicle, rather than 4x4?
MGMS can be mounted onto a 4x4 or 6x6 vehicle with a 4 ton payload capacity.
Q. Can the width of the MGMS TRACKWAY be changed?
It is possible to customise any element of HGMS, subject to consultation.
Q. Is MGMS effective on all terrain?
FAUN advise that MGMS requires ground conditions to have a minimum California Bearing Ratio (CBR) of 5%. MGMS can be deployed using the FASTRACK to create a roadway or the BEACH DISPENSER attachment to JCB to create a beach landing area.
Q. If the CBR along the longitudinal axis of the road varies from left to right, will this lead to slipping or overturning of vehicles driving along the TRACKWAY?
If the ground conditions are not consistent, TRACKWAY will just tilt slightly, but there is no risk of vehicles tipping over.
Q. Would TRACKWAY become damaged as a result of unbalanced loads (heavy vehicles using left and right sides of the roadway)?
No, it will not. After a convoy of the trucks has been passed, it may be necessary to re-align the TRACKWAY by adjusting some of the anchorage pickets.
Q. What are the technical characteristics of the aluminium?
Tensile strength of 340 MPa
Shear strength of 210 MPa
Q. Can MGMS used for tracked vehicles?
Yes, but the overall weight of the tracked vehicle can be up to 30 ton, and be no more than 3.35m in width. Rubber matting should be used to prolong the life of the TRACKWAY.

Q. What is the lead time on manufacture of MGMS?
This is largely dependent upon the size of the contract, therefore please contact us to discuss your requirements further. A guideline time would be approximately 18 weeks from receipt of purchase order to completion of manufacture.
Q. What are the maximum and minimum temperatures that MLC 30 TRACKWAY can withstand?
Maximum: +40 °C / 104 °F
Minimum: -40 °C / -40 °F
Q. Can MGMS roadway be split into smaller pieces?
Yes, there is a split in the TRACKWAY every five meters, so custom lengths can be created by hand.
