Recently we celebrated the commitment of three FAUN engineers that together have racked up a remarkable 130 years service for the company.
Two of the employees, Will Vaughan and Alan Francis, began working here at our Llangefni headquarters when they were 16 as fresh-faced apprentices when we were better known as Laird (Anglesey).
Since then, Will and Alan have worked with us for 41 and 47 years respectively with the second longest serving engineer, John Morris, staying with us for 42 years.
At a time when people often work for various companies before finding one that they find to be a good fit, it is really inspiring that Will, Alan, and John found that with us so soon in their careers.
Now, with a wealth of expertise under their tool-belts, Will and John are production fitters for our refuse vehicles and Alan is a chargehand for FAUN TRACKWAY, the defence division of our company.
To celebrate the dedication of these three employees, we held a special lunch in their honour where they were each given a gift voucher, a special edition model of our very latest FAUN refuse vehicle and a certificate from our company MD, J Alun Jones.
At the presentation, J Alun noted how each of the engineer’s ability to work in both divisions of the business was a real asset to us and has helped to establish us as a real manufacturing success story.
