Keeping our armed forces in top shape and ready for a range of scenarios in the field requires regular training and practice.
When the British Army decided to test its personnel’s ability to repair damaged airfields, they used our industry leading Rapid Runway Repair system.
The training day presented a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our products to the United Arab Emirates army’s Major Nasser Al Kalbanin, who was visiting the FAUN TRACKWAY team, to learn about our products.
Held at RAF Waterbeach, Cambridge, the 50-strong team of both soldiers and officers prepared the airfield using the TRACKWAY Rapid Runway Repair (RRR) kit which is part of the full Airfield Damage Repair (ADR) package we supply to the UK’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) as well as to other armed forces across the globe.

ADR is regarded by NATO as one of the most comprehensive solutions to the problem of damaged airfields. The FAUN RRR kit comprises of aluminium Bomb Damage Repair Mats (BDRM) that enable vehicles to land safely in conflict areas once craters have been repaired using the dynamic compaction method. This creates an even surface for the BDRM to be laid and bolted down.
One of the greatest benefits of RRR is its response time - the equipment requires little servicing so can be ready for deployment when required.
