Here at FAUN TRACKWAY we are very proud of our international strength; we supply our products to over 40 different armed forces worldwide and have a global network of trusted agents.
Over the past four years we have been forging new relationships in America through a series of trade missions and are designing a new version of our Aircraft Landing Mat (ALM) specifically to meet the requirements of the US Air Force.
As a company we’ve got some impressive client relationships and decided that the best way to serve our stateside customers would be to open a permanent office in the US.
So this is just what we did; at the end of July we launched a new office in Washington DC – within the heart of the USA’s political and defence community.
The launch event was held at the British Embassy and we were honoured by the attendance of some very special guests. Key note speeches were given by the UK’s Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology Peter Luff and Bill Clinton’s former Secretary for Veteran Affairs Togo. D West.
Our MD, J Alun Jones noted that increasing our presence in North America will help us get closer to our customers and showcase our unique product set.
Attendees at the event included Randy Babbitt, FAA Administrator, Col. Anninos, from the Army Corp of Engineers, and Lt. Com. Monell, Presidential Airlift Coordinator for the White House. Also in attendnace were journalists and editors from influential defence publications including Aviation Week, Defense News, Defense Daily and Inside the Air Force.
Mike Holdcraft, former Seabee Force Master Chief, will be leading the office’s endeavours in the US as the Vice-President Business Development for North America. Mike is passionate about our products and it’s clear for all to see this is a exciting opportunity for us.
