Along with four of his friends Gareth began the epic journey at 6am on Wednesday 3 August from the FAUN factory in Llangefni, Anglesey, and then travelled around the Welsh and English coastline to Stranraer in Scotland, over the water to Belfast and completed the ride in Dublin on Saturday.
This exhausting journey was not just for fun and exercise but also to raise £3,000 for Cancer Research.
Cancer Research is FAUN's official charity and we have committed to matching the donation of any FAUN employees as well as contributing £250 to the costs of the journey itself.
Llandudno-based vehicle hire company Aberconwy also helped the team by providing a hire van for the duration of the weekend and Stena Line ferries gave them 50 per cent off the cost of travelling to Belfast.
Apart from a few punctures, some broken wheels and a couple of scuffs there were no serious accidents and all five cyclists made it to Dublin for a well-earned Guinness!
If you want to help the team on the way to the £3,000 target then please visit their JustGiving page and donate direct.
